Monotypes, known as the painterly print, are unique works on paper made by transferring an inked up surface onto paper. In this workshop participants will create their own stencils and use actual leaves paired with an assortment inks and methods of inking to create a range of printed effects. We will use an etching press to print with, which will allow for all of the subtleties found within each leaf to be transferred to our prints along with an intricate embossment. All participants will leave with their own unique series of prints.
